Scenes from Lily's Birthday
We've had an incredible day meeting Luke's little sister. Happy Birthday Lily! We are so glad you are here. Friends, thank you for all the prayers and encouragements. Joe's grandpa advised us to not spoil her. We won't be taking his advice for a while. Plus, it's a little too late.

Oh my goodness-she is beautiful! Congrats!! Enjoy exploring every inch of her these next few days. I can't wait to see her! I love the name! I see glimpses of Luke in her too! I hope the two of you can rest!

ReplyDeleteOh, she is so lovely! I have been thinking about Psalm 126 as I have prayed for you these past few weeks. It says, "When the Lord brought back the captive ones of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with joyful shouting. They said among the nations, 'The LORD has done great things for them!" Yes! The LORD has done great things for us! We are filled with joy!" Your story speaks so strongly of God's love and redemption. I'm sure the nations are saying now, with just one look at sweet Lily, that the Lord has done great things for you! And I'm SURE you are filled with joy! The end of that Psalm says, "Those who plant with tears will harvest with shouts of joy." I simply can't think of a better description of your journey of parenthood!
